It can be bad if they are splitting and the tank conditions are bad enough that the clones die.
I just had my first "natural" anemone split this week, we plumbed a second 100 gallon rubbermaid stock tank to the system, effectively doubling the water volume. Two of my true rbta's split and one of the green morphs is halfway split and will probably finish the job tonight. Even good stress can cause splitting.
