i had a bleached nem and i would notice these curly threads coming out of it occasionally, i had a party at my house and some kids put food in the tank, the next morning the nem wouldnt attach to anything, it had those curly threads everywhere, it smelled bad and seemed to be decaying/melting. so i made the decision to flush it.

i did a 90 percent water change just in case it released any toxins.

now that im looking back did i make the right choice of flushing it? and when do you think i can get a new nem.
