Just wantedd to reach out to everyone here and get some feedback.
In the past I have never had any luck keeping anenomes of any type. They typically would wither away and die. I was and have always run big UV filtration for various reasons. This is the only thing that I could contribute was that I was killing everything in the water column.
Fast forward to now. I have 65g cube that has no UV and I have 4 green and rose bubble tip anenomes that are out growing the tank. The feeding and water qualities are identical to mybig system. These guys are healthy and look wonderful. The clowns have started to host them and all is good.
This tank will go away and the livestock moved to my 330g once its ready. I do have a big UV filter on it but a little concerned moving forward.
How many of you are running UV filters and having luck or no problems with your livestock? I am just wondering if I am correct in my thought process.
Any input would be absolutely wonderful as I am trying to set myself up for success with this new build.
Thanks in advance
