angel has a pink upper lip

i got a coral beauty angel at gwa at their big sale it has been doing great but it has developed a pinkish white upper lip i am worried that it is sick. my water tests good. no traceable nitrates or phosphates. it has been eating good it will eat flake food a little but it really goes after the brine shimp. it also eats some nori but not that much. i was wondering if anyone had any insite into what this could be i started a thread on the forum for sick fish and got over 20 hits and no replys if anyone has some advice it would be appreciated.

I would need a pick or more details in a description.
Is it puffy looking ?
Are there visible blood vessles ?
Is it just a color change or is there a chunk missing ?

i will try to get a pic. it is puffy and i can not really see any blood vesels i don't think it ran into anything it started out small and is getting worse.

It could be a cold sore-my first wife would get those and her whole lip would swell up.

ok so i definatly think the fish is sick now. it is starting to get black spots behind his gills and on the ends of his fins in the back. i will try to get a pic of it later tonight but i have a very junky camera and he is pretty quick. any input would be great at this time. i really like this fish and do not want to lose him.

well i think i have found and removed the problem. i never thought it was parasitic the pink lip only lasted about a week then went back to normal. the black spots were on the tips of the fins in the rear and the finns were frayed a little. well it got worse and the fins looked like something was nipping at it. i kept watching and none of the other fish were even interested. after watching for a day or so i finally spoted my emerald crab jumped out and niped at him when he was picking at some rock work. i tore half the rock work apart last night and took the crab out and the fins look better allready this evening on the angel. i have heard not so good things about emerald crabs but never that they picked at fish.

time will tell the angel is doing better anyway.
