I added an imperator to my tank, right after christmas. he has been doing well, eating good. until this past sunday, he hasn't been looking so good.

His colors are getting a lil faded and his eyes are a lil cloudy, i pulled him out and i am acclimating him to my QT tank. I have been feeding my own forzen concoction of squid clam and scallops frozen with garlic extreme, and also NLS pellets.

My question is what can i do to treat him with, i don't think its ick that he has, because i don't see any spots on him, its almost as if patches of his skin are fading.

please let me know how to help him.

Sounds like skin and most likely gill flukes. The cloudy appearance can also be the flukes attaching to the emp's eyes. Angels are one of the more suceptible fish to flukes. Either do a FW dip and/or treat with Prazipro.

I've very good success with Prazipro in treating flukes and never tried FW dip but my lfs owner swears by it. He said keep the FW temp & PH same as tank water then dip the sick fish in for 3 minutes and perform this 2 times and your fish will be on the road to recovery. Like I said I've never done this and hope others will chime in on this method.

Can you post a pic?

Are there other fish in the system with angel?

Was the angel quarantined before introducing into the main tank?
