Hi All,
I have recently had some issues with my large Flagfin Angelfish. I have had him for about 6 months now. Initially he went through a 2 week quarantine just to make sure he was healthy.
About 3 weeks ago he broke out in white spot and became lethargic, so I removed him from my main tank and placed him in a tank that had water with an SG 1.009 I also added quinine to the water to try and beat the white spot. After about 4 days he looked better with all the spots gone. However, over this time he has become very bloated.
I initially assumed that it may of been constipation, so I added epsom salts but when I felt the bladder it feels very soft like its just air inside.
I have transferred him into a new tank now and the salinity is about 1.023 and he is still bloated. I am not too sure what it could be. He is not eating at the moment either but is looking better.
Has anyone experienced an angelfish bloating when placing them in hypo? Or could this be a bacterial infection?
Any advice is appreciated.
