Angels how many?

I have this posted over in the FO forum also.

I am thinking of doing a 150g 48x24x30. How many angels can I keep in it?

This is in the very early stages of planning...It will be a FOWLR tank. I need to gather a list of angels that the wife and I both like and I will get that posted sometime in the next day or two. I know a couple she likes are:

Flame
Koran
Yellow
Rusty

There will be a sump/fuge...probably 40 breeder...maybe a 55 if I can get it to work...Also a skimmer rated for at least 300g. Lighting will be a 4 bulb T5 fixture of some sort. I will also DIY all the rock as I will be on a budget.

so what do you guys think of my plan? How many Angels can I keep?

You can keep one large angel and one dwarf angel - anything more most likely will turn your tank into a war zone.

What about staying all in the dwarf family?

Been reading and it seems angels can be some aggressive buggers
may have to abandon this idea?????

The Koran will get too big for your tank, so I would pass on that.

With careful planning you can have multiple dwarfs in a tank;

<object width="853" height="505"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_-Ma1xsjMTY?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_-Ma1xsjMTY?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="853" height="505"></embed></object>

Thanks for the video is that the 75 in your sig? or a bigger tank? beautiful either way.
1 dwarf per 50 gallon with plenty of hiding places.
thanks for the info ...Like I said in the very early planning stages...I need to get a rubbermaid stock tank and get to curing some diy rock..will let it set the winter and start building in the spring...now to find a good recipe for some porus rock.

Nice tank. What is the careful planning that you are referring to, Todd?

The first thing is to have a back up plan -- meaning another tank that you can move one too. When I first got my Golden, I put it in with an existing Potters (( who had been with a multicolored in the past with no issues )), and the Potters would have none of it. Their colors/pattern was/is too similar, so I moved it to another tank.

Next, I would put the most passive one in first.

Have plenty of hiding spots.

The the new addition in a breeder box first, will give you an idea of how it is going to work.

Also, try to get dissimilar colors/patters.

Lastly, and most importantly, luck.
