Anglers In The Same House

There's a reasonable chance that one will eat the other unless they are almost exactly the same size (and even then they'll try).

Thx...Kinda what I figured...since the yellow one already ate a dwarf lion...Talk about a garbage disposal!

Just wanted to see if onyone has kept more than one in the same tank.
 
Anglers will attempt to eat any fish in the tank even ones that are two thirds of their own size. Often times, they will eat something too large and it will kill them. Lionfish are not exactly passive in this regard and will eat good size fish rather easily. Their mouth expands and they suck them in with a vacuum like motion.
 
if they are the same kind you have a good chance of them being fine lookup a user I think called uberfugu or something similar he has several in the smae tank
 
i kept three in a 72 gallon. they lived together for almost a year until hurriane Rita.
