Angry Bubble coral

I have a large Bubble Coral that Ive had for about a month. It was blowing up great and looking awesome until about a week ago, it just doesnt open up like it used to. My radions have been ramping up and it was in front of an mp40 so I thought it could be flow or light related. I turned the flow down for a day, nothing. I moved it out from under the lights and away from the flow, nothing. I put two pieces of eggcrate above to shade it, still nothing. If I offer it cut up shrimp it eats happily, swells up and digests but still doesnt blow up during the day. Nighttime feeder tentacles are out.

Parameters,

90 gal display/60 gal sump (~ 50 lbs LR, 4000gph flow, SWC 180 skimmer in taking under-house fresh air, Jebao DC return (300 gph set @ head loss), 1/2c 50/50 rox .8/BRS GFO, handful chaeto)
ph 8.1-8.3 - Mounted Hanna meter
T 78-82 - Mounted Hanna meter
cal 475 - Redsea Titration Saturated kalk ATO (JBJ/PMUP)
dkh 10.0 - Hanna checker Auto dosed and pretty steady.(BRS soda ash)
mag 15-1600 Redsea Titration
N04 4-5 - Redsea comparator Vinegar dosed via ATO 30ml/gal, 1.75 gpd evap = ~50ml/day acetate
p03 .04 - Hanna checker

Feed typically 1 cube Mysis or Cyclops per day, sporadic flake/pellet/nori clip

Livestock,

8" bubble - Coral in question, does not open during day, feeders out at night, eats well.
Ultra Trach - Irritated sometimes, bounces back quick, eats well. Crab was picking at it (Now in sump)
Elegance - Destroyer of worlds, eats everything, nothing messes with its stinging flowing tentacles, happy as a pig.
Euphyllia - Recovering, had it for years, declined a while back during a bout of LARS
Various Palys/Zoanthids(Sump) - All do well
Duncan(Sump) - Feeds every day, growing like a weed, fastest in tank.
Various rhodactis, never die, always happy.
Ricordea yuma - angry, no longer declining, upper ones gone, lower ones still alive - Probably from Radions migrating toward 100% under acclimation
Various Acro Frags (9) - All pretty much happy, coloring up (Had for about 3-5 weeks) PE good, no noticeable growth or encrusting
Monti cap - 4 weeks in, already showing growth, white edges, good color, no PE
GSP - Happy, growing slowly
Devils hand/Cabbage leather - These seem to be going in and out of being ****ed and being happy, which makes me think they are releasing something when they stress. They lived through the LARS and now the water column is cleaning up and the light is increasing, I don't think they like it.

Probably the best course of action would be to leave it alone for a while. I know mine can act strange for up to a week, and then poof back to normal one day. Messing with them causes more problems than it solves.

So you've seen it act funny for as long as a week? I was originally changing equipment settings and things first, trying not to physically move it. It probably needs to be on the side where it is now anyways, ill eventually have a Kessil in the middle for SPS and clams in that zone. I do have to say, its eating big fat pieces of shrimp without problem, Ive never seen a coral thats actually declining readily eat like that.

There could be many reasons for the lackluster appearance. Rather than try to adjust a bunch of things (other than flow) I wouldn't really be messing with it.

I moved it once, and have been feeding it. I have the eggcrate over it still. It seems to be bouncing back, im not sure if its feeding or the light or a combination of both. Im going to let it stay the way it is until its 100% and try to isolate either the light or the feeding. I haven't read any literature that suggests that bubbles need to eat to be happy but that could possibly be the case?
