Animal Oasis Going out of Bus

I was working in Fort Dodge today and decided to try Animal Oasis out since someone said there was a store here.

Guy is going out of business and is selling everything pretty cheap. He was even knocking more of the price down while I was there. Not much for fish, but quite a few tanks, bulbs, supplies and such. He hadn't even turned the tank lights on and this was around 1pm when we stopped in. He said nobody even really ever stops in.

If you are looking for something at a reasonably cheap price give him a call or stop in. Nice guy, just bad luck.

wow, I figured he was out of business a long time ago. I bought my current setup from him way back in August for cheap because he was going out of business. I wonder what made him think to stick around longer.

I have been up there a few times. Have gotten some really good deals. The owners name is Chad. I think maybe since he has been advertising 25% off and going out of business he has been selling some stuff which is keeping him open longer. When I talked to him two weeks ago he was still ordering SW fish.

Yep; drove all the way up there on the 05/05 and he is still going out of business. Scored some live rock and a strawberry and cream colored baby serpent. check it out

Did you notice if he still has Aragonite sand and Calupera? How about Live rock, does he still have a good supply?

I don't think he is in a hurry to go out.

He has all of the above but not much for livestock. Rock is 25% off of seven dollars :lol: I agree with your statement i was looking for going out of business prices.

Went back yesterday. He hasn't lowered prices any further and most SW livestock is gone. I boiught some LR for $5/lb but that is getting low also. He has a bunch of new and used tanks including a new 135 RR setup with everything including sump, skimmer, lights, etc..

Do you remember what price he had on the 135 setup? I've been looking at buying one for a while and now that my move is done I'm thinking it is time to upgrade

I think it is priced at like $2400, but he will take $2200.
