Animal Planet Chooses RI Based Something Fishy, Inc. as Finalist in New TV Series

Warwick, R.I. "“ July 11, 2012

On Thursday producers for the Television Network Animal Planet will be in RI following twin brothers Kurt & Don Harrington of Something Fishy, Inc. to determine if this duo is the right fit for Animal Planets next reality show. Animal Planet seeks to highlight the growing trend of Luxury Aquarium décor being used in commercial and private estates. After a few hours of interviewing, the producers were intrigued with the dynamic relationship of the Harrington twins along with the success they have achieved since starting their company at the age of 15.

"œWe are looking forward to exploring the opportunity to work with Animal Planet to see if it's a good fit for us and what is in the best interest of our clients and business partners," says Kurt Harrington, Something Fishy's CEO. "œOur culture is FISH, Fun-nominal, Irresistible, Simple & Honest, I think this opportunity will enhance the "œFun" in our culture statement," says Don Harrington, Director of Commercial Services.

Something Fishy, Inc was established in 1993 and specializes in the design, installation, and maintenance of ponds and aquariums throughout the New England region. Something Fishy was recently awarded an extended contract with Mystic Aquarium and has a client roster that includes: Pfizer, Yale New Haven Hospital, Women & Infants Hospital, Westerly Hospital, Kent Hospital, Mystic Pizza, Hurd Chevrolet and Foxwood's Resort & Casino along with many other commercial and residential estates. In addition to the service and installation division, Something Fishy operates a retail location at 1185 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick. R.I.

Wow, that's pretty cool. Where did you hear about this? Have you been going to their informal reefing get togethers? I've always wanted to stop by, but don't like the idea of having to pre-register.

Really nice store. Pretty expensive../But some nice colonies. Pre-Register is so they can send you emails..lol I was emailed the press release

I just found the e-mail in my inbox. Good for them. Do you know anything about a business in Coventry that seems to offer the same services? It's great that there might be more reefing interest in the RI area. It seems more of us are dropping out than joining the hobby.
