Annoying worm

I have a worm in my tank that lives in a hard tube attached to a rock that it shares with a toad stool and some zoas...

The worm never comes completely out, instead it secretes this weird net like goo that collects particulates from the water. It then sucks the net like substance back in to the tube.

The gooey net covers my zoas/toad stool/anything it contacts and seems to be really bothering my coral. I have tried to kill this thing by removing it from the water and breaking the tub but it goes deep in to the rock, I tried sealing the tube with coral cement...it grows back everytime.

please help with any thoughts or suggestions!

Likely a vermetid snail. Brown, very hard tube that protrudes up/ out into the water. Approach slowly with coral clipper, then quickly bite thru the tube as low on it as you can get a good bite. If you squeeze quickly, the worm will be cut in half. Pull out the piece you get and that's that. If you don't get a piece of worm, take a screwdriver and crush the tube down into rock. Or pry the tube from its attachment on the rock and take out the whole thing. Hate the little buggers. Make sure you do it before it multiplies.

I had an invasion of these, my water looked disgusting. Then I added a sixline and they all disappeared
