No, I still have all my fish. The pic is of the crab's old shell. I thought it had died until I found the crab still alive in my tank. I've seen it eating coralline algae off my rocks.
I've been trying to capture it with food-in-the-glass trap but it doesn't fall for it. Trying to capture it with tweezers is impossible because the moment it sees me near the tank it's gone. Now I'm pretty much at a loss how to get it out.
Have you tried a bottle trap? You can leave it in overnight (just poke holes in the trap for ventilation) and then pull it out in the morning. It's best to tie a string (fishing line is good) to the trap in order to lower and remove it without disturbing things too much.
