So I treated my fowlr dt with cupramine sunday evening. I'm a bit confused though, I thought that copper killed all inverts yet I see not one but three dwarf hermits that I missed when I removed my inverts that are still alive and well a little more than 48 hours after the initial dose. I'm a little baffled because I lost one of my dwarf lions (supposedly copper sensitive) but there are three hermits still alive? Is it possible that my lr and sand absorbed the copper completely or something and that the ich killed off the lion?
I'm not sure how I should proceed at this point, I'd like some advice. The idea of setting up two smaller tanks is one I didn't consider, maybe I can arrange it. Should I start to run mad carbon and cuprisorb in my dt and set up some hospitals to start the copper over again or has the damage to the lr/sand already been done OR should I continue treatment as is?
edit: no discoloration of lr/sand/water/anything thus far, no bleaching either. Don't know if that info helps with the decesion to move to another tank or not. I'd think at this point it may be the best option instead of adding more carbon.
