Another fish list...

I was hoping to get some input on our fish selection. We are setting up a 66 gallon 32x24x20 mixed reef tank. My question, which order would you introduce these guys. I have never had a semi or aggressive tank, so not sure who needs its territory first. Also is this an appropriate fish load. Thanks!

Purple Dottyback (Pseudochromis porphyreus)

Midas Blenny

Potters Dwarf Angel

Six Line Wrasses

Maroon Clownfish

I would make sure your Potter is eating before putting him in a immature tank. I would be very careful with the maroon and 6-line in that size tank. They can become real PITAs!!

Thanks for the input, I appreciate the Wrasse and Clown can be an issue. Would you advise against it. Again my experience is with a peaceful community tanks and those tanks were much larger. So the residents were even better behaved. Except for the domino damsel, broke down a tank to get that Bast@#!.

With aggressive/semiaggresive tanks I understood everyone just needed to hold there own. Am I breaking that rule with less dominant fish on this list? If so which? Or, is that not really the rule. We can consider a different species of clown. Truly I really wanted a Six line, they have a cool look for a smaller fish, but may scrap it if that is the problem fish on the list.

I did my research on the Potters angel and am scratching my head about how to introduce this fish: the Pygmy does need a mature tank which is way down the road, and I won't add it until it is ready. I may have to just stock slowly over the next year.

If you can find a Potter's that is eating with no problems you probably could get away with a immature tank. IME, I have lost 2 in 8 month old tank. Just didn't eat, but was picking at rocks, but I think it wasn't enough or still immature. By all means a 6-line and maroon fits your wants of wanting a aggressive tank. Maybe look into the Flame Dwarf Angel in the place of the Potter's, plus the Flame is a little more aggressive and I think that would be a better fit for your wishlist. Also maybe a Flameback or Brazilian Dwarf.
