I JUST transfered my coral beauty and clowns tk my biocube from a temp tank. Dropped em in and noticed a sandy look on my cb. So I quick grabbed him and put him in the temp tank... is the clowns and dottyback ok? I dont see anything at all on them.

Treat all of them. They have been exposed, they are carriers, even if they look perfectly healthy. Read up and treat, don't forget about a 10 week fallow period for the DT.

Question, if the dt is runnin fallow can I add corals and inverts? Im supposed to pick up a sallt light foot and serpent star and some zoas

yep, this is a great time to stock up on the non-fish. in the future (once fish are back in the DT) you will have to QT the non-fish also... 10-12 weeks in a fallow QT.

just make sure you are starting the fallow period from the latest date you added something to the DT.

Confused. How do I add fish to the dt but still run fallow?

Edit. U said qt. So pull the new corals and inverts out of the dt and qt?

no, sorry, i was confused reading over my post as well. so to clarify:
non-fish still need to be QT'ed, but the QT process for non-fish is simple --- just don't expose them to fish for 10-12 weeks (e.g. fallow).

you are already doing this by running your DT fallow, so you are in essence QT'ing your non-fish as well at the same time, just using your DT as a QT. This is why I am saying that you are in a good position right now, as you can add all the non-fish you want right now and not have to worry about QT'ing separately. But, if you are still buying non-fish 4 weeks from now and adding them to your DT, you will need to start the 10-12 week fallow period over from then.

in the future, any new non-fish you get will need to be QT'ed in a fallow tank separate from your DT. 10-12 weeks. this will ensure that no Tomites (Ich cysts) are hitchhiking in on these creatures (not infected, but can carry Ich).

Pull the fish out of the DT and treat them in another tank. Then, add your new corals and inverts to the DT and don't add anything else to that tank for 10-12 weeks. After 10-12 weeks is up, you can add your treated fish back in.

From now on, quarantine any additional purchases (rock, coral, inverts, fish) before adding them to the DT. This will give you the best chance of success.

exactly, and in less (and more effective) words than I chose :D
