Another Ich problem

OK my buddy called me from work and asked me to do this post, so that hopefully he will have a few ideas when he gets home. About 3 months ago we both started our tanks. He had 2 false percs, a Yellow tang, and a red fire fish in his. Well the YT brought in Ich. He eneded up loseing the YT and the 2 clowns. The FireFish looked GREAT and has for the last 6+ weeks. Well over the weekend he picked up a small YT and small Sailfin Tang. Well the Sailfin now has Ich.

Aside from the normal QT/Hosiptal tank is there anything that is safe to use... I have recently heard about ICH Attack...

Thanks for any help and ideas.

You can try those meds but I dont think you will have much luck. IMo Id say get a Qt tank or rubbermaid tub and perform hypo.
The firefish, even though looking quite healthy, still could have benn infected with ich. he may have been fighting it off but the ich could still have been using him as a host to reproduce. Ich is only visible during one part of its lifecycle so its possible that you just couldnt see it.
Anyways Iknow its not what you asked but I would suggest treating all fish with hypo for 6-8 weeks and leaving the main tank fishless for that time, that should rid your tank of ich.
