Another ID please--may be difficult

It was sold to me as finger leather and everyone knows how many genus/species that covers...it's green hued and gets less green as it expands but solid green contracted.

My guess is sinularia...

Well that covers a broad field as well; the pics I have seen trying to ID of that type don't seem to resemble this coral...

Oh, I know. Tough given how many different forms it has. Nepthea is possible too. I'm guessing that's why the bulk of people just go with 'finger leather'. I don't think the average hobbyist is going to be able to give you anything more specific, and if they do it's just a guess. Kinda like all the folks who play that game with acros.

It really doesn't look green enough from the pics to be nepthia to me.... looks a lot like a colt coral but the pictures don't show up all that good on my computer.

I was thinking Nephthea but I haven't seen a picture close enough resmembling it to confirm. EB's Aquarium Corals mentions the spicules formation in the tissue as a form of ID but I have no way to determine if I was to note this method...Will check out the Sinularia flexibilis Markus and see if it's close...
Back when I kept Acros and other sps years ago I would go crazy trying to ID them--was like an obsession I overcame...
