20+ polyps.......$19.99. They had been growing onto the rock they were on for quite awhile. Sometimes I geuss it pays to be a fish nerd with a magnifying glass:bigeyes:
Not sure why there are so many decent zoa's and paly's around here for good prices. My advice is, just keep your eyes open, and take a magnifying glass with you. I visited yet another store (feeding my zoa addiction, lol) yesterday, and got this $20 frag special
Now, not all zoa's around here are only $20. I got these, but they set me back $60
These, 20+ polyps, 10$.. took small pieces off and superglued all over that flat rock....
Got these yesterday.... 5$ 20+polyps..
But my biggest score ever? a few months ago i got these...
it was branching.. fell off the bigger piece at the LFS... its was atleast 50+ polyps.. took some off and superglued to another rock
thanks.. i love it too!..... and i dont take a magnifying glass with me lol....
But youre right... it pays to have a good eye... just gotta know where to look... and then ask...
"How much for that small frag"... after you ask how much the big piece was. .. lol...
but damn... how do you get that good of pictures?
what kind of camera? any tips?
This might make you laugh...but I use a "poor mans macro lens", aka my trusty magnifying glass. I just place it in front of the camera, and fool with it a little bit. Some pics were taken through the tank glass, and some over the zoas, setting it on the water, which #1, eliminates the water shimmer from the flow, and #2 magnifies the image.
magnifying glass? lol..
i would of never thought of that...
i too have a poor mans camera.... a GE A730 my gf got me for christmas.. when i told her i wanted a canon.
but yeah thanks for the idea... how great is that...
time to take back the magnifying glass i gave my little bro.
