the slim pink stuff around skimmer air tube I have no idea what it is but I did a water change on Thursday and this is how much I had on Sunday. Any Ideas? I wonder if its not from Vinegar dosing? My nitrates have dropped to 0 so I am cutting back on vinegar dosing by 4mL each week that it stays 0

Do a search for bryposis it is hard to tell in the pic but that is what it could be.

its drving me crazy, clogging pumps etc!

just to give an update I think this was from overdose of vinegar. Since I have cut my vinegar off it is gone

So it was a bacteria bloom caused by the overdose?

not sure what it was but it was all over my sump and clogged up my return pump. When I stopped vinegar dosing it went away, so I assume thats what it was
