My Dry fiji tukani rock is being delivered today from BRS. Do I have to cycle this rock or since it is dry, can I just throw it in my tank like it is?

I would check with the people you bought It from and see If a good rinse Is all It needs? I know home made rock needs to cure so better safe than Sorry! But I am Not an expert on this or any other matter!

+1 if its base rock just rinse it off real well and stick it in the tank. If your really worried about it, you could always just add a couple pieces a week.

I just calleed bulk reef sup. They did reccomend to let it soak for a few days just to get the dirt and gunk off of it and only add a few pieces a week.

This rock definatly has to be cured. It couldn't have been dry long. Still looks like it has a lot og growth on it. Smells horrible. I have started curing it already and a bunch of crab claws have started floating to the top.
