Another rookie mistake...this time ATO

Switched from Reefer mechanical float for ATO to Osmolator 3152 Nano.

Guess what mistake I made....

Came home, decided to check on sump....lucky I only put 1/2 G rodi in ATO....it all drained into sump.

The drain line I decided to put same level as osmolator pump....so I guess it carried on siphoning even when pump was off.
Yes I did test it twice....and naturally it didn't auto siphon when I tested.

SG went from 1.26 to 1.24.....back up to 1.25 now, will move it back to 1.26 tomorrow.

I feel pretty stupid now....

Ive been there. I was tinkering with my tank one night, and somehow managed to move my top off line below the water line. It would top off, siphon back, topoff...luckily I was home and noticed it kicking on so much. Crisis averted, lessons learned, right?

Lol yeah don't sweat it man...back when I started....I was determined to use the canister filter that came with the tank I bought.....needles to say....10g of water all over my basement floor.....luckily it only sat there for about 2hrs....but it was still pretty bad....that was the day I sold the canister....I also used to use a dosing line one of those cheap plastic ones....to top off my tank...( I would fill a bucket and just start it). Well one day after it finished I put the top of the dosing line resting on the edge of my tank....the bottom of the line got knocked down to the ground and dosed 3g of water onto my floor.....this was the day I bought an ATO lol...live and learn and hopefully your significant other doesn't make you feel like a complete noob like mine did lol

That's the best way to learn a lesson, scare yourself without hurting anything. That change in salinity shouldn't affect anything in your tank.
