Another satisfied 6055 customer

Hi Roger,

I thought I would thank you publicly for stepping up to get my two 6055's working right. When I first bought them I was a little disappointed. They hummed and always clicked at start up, drove me nuts and limited what I could do with the 7095 controller. After sending them in for a once over, you sending me some different impellers to try and waiting for Mr. Tunze to come up with the final fix for the "click", I am happy to say they are now working great!
Thank you for all your effort in sending me the parts as they became available. You have gone the extra mile to stand behind your product.

So now I would like to buy a third 6055. Do you have a recommended source that would have new stock with the new style impellers? Or what would you suggest?

hey, mine click when they start up too, I thought they were supposed to do that. when I put my 7095 on setting #1 it scares my fish. oh well.

Mine did the same thing, but like I said in my post Tunze has a fix for this. I am sure Roger will chime in with the solution for you

Roger...how can I tell if I have the old or new, improved propellars on my 6055's? I just bought 2 from Reefwarehouse and they are being shipped. I do not want to install them if I will have to deal with klicking noises. This is why my wife asked me to remove the Red Sea wavemaker and my modded MJ1200's.

The only way to tell is the propeller and unless you have seen both the difference is not easy to see, the new one has more drag on the shaft and cannot free spin without a lot of effort. The smartest thing to do is just use them, if they make a clicking noise let me know and we will just send the new drive units.

As far as who would have the new ones, a lot of that depends on stock rotation at the various dealers and I don't have much control over that, anything we shipped from last Dec forward would be new prop.
