Another Skimmer Question, this one different

I'm looking to ditch my HOB rio skimmer that's on my 20L. It isn't terrible, but it's noisy as hell. I need a HOB type that doesn't take up a whole lot of space. The tank sits on my counter, just in front of my kitchen sink, so nothing huge. For instance, a Coralife Super Skimmer would be too large. I also don't want a huge pump hanging in the tank. I know it's inevitable, but smaller is better.

Lastly, cost is a factor. I'd like to stay as cheap as quality allows.

I guess a bit about the needs of the tank would help too. I have a dwarf fuzzy lion and a couple of anemones in the tank. I also use it to catch pest mushrooms from my 33g reef. When I find one in a bad place I cut it off and toss it in the lion tank.
