Another snail ID question???

Do snail species intermix (breed?). I have a variety of snails in my tank from Mexican turbos, Asterea, Nissarus, Cer...., margarita, some other very large turbo snails.... so...

Snails do occasionally interbreed, but it is usually VERY closely related species and appears to be a fairly rare event. None of the types of snails you list there would be closely related enough to do that.

I think it is much more likely that I'm simply not familiar enough with this snail to narrow down the ID (and getting an answer from the LFS on location the live rock came from would still be helpful for the expert).

Yep that eliminates some Atlantic ocean and mediterrean snails that look very similar. That will be helpful when I ask the expert for help. Too bad they couldn't tell you Fiji, Tonga, Marshall Islands, etc, but most of the Pacific ones on my list are widespread, so that wasn't as important.

The manager is a friend and is going to help me move a tank this weekend. I'll try to ask him if he has an idea of the pacific location.

By the way, someone asked camera for the pics....Canon 30D; it is an awesome camera. Has a 4GB CD card....haven't filled it up yet.
