Another "What is that on my zoa?"

Sorry guys, can someone help me out with what is this thing on my zoa? Sorry for the picture quality wanted to get as much zoom as possible.

Can you describe it? From the pic I can't tell. It looks like an aiptasia or mushroom coral to me.

its like a circular flap.. its got even patterns, with some bumps on it. I was thinking, could that be another coral growing? but where would it come from? Coincidentally, I added a blue mushroom frag a few days ago, but I think I noticed it before then, and the color is off. Its shaded from the polyp, will try to get a better pic posted.

Its really ugly, should I get rid of it? and if so how?

Plus there looks like apitasia growing in the middle of the frag.

Polyps definitely dont look as good as before all these things started. Some are always closed, hairs are very short on the heads too. Just get rid of the frag?

No need to get rid of it. Not too big of a deal.

If you don't like the mushroom, pluck it off with some tweezers and get rid of it. The only rules around aesthetics of your tank are what you personally like. Not really a right or wrong there.

As for the rest of it, I would remove the frag from the tank, and in a separate little bowl of tank water, do any/all grooming needed. This will keep any residual bad stuff out of the tank, and will let you see the frag up close to identify hitchhikers or nuisance algae.
