Another "which magnet for my 6000"

Hey Roger,

I picked up a 6000 and single controller some time ago for a reef tank I was setting up but plans fell through and I decided to put the stream on my 135g FOWLR which has been set up for some time now.

Anyway I am unable to mount the stream using the brackets provided due to the tank thickness and trimming around the top. The tank is a 18 year old Perfecto tank (I believe) and the glass is a little thicker than 1/2" but not quite 3/4".

My question is what magnet holder should I get for this tank? I know the smaller one is good up to 1/2" but my glass is a little bigger than that. Plus I can't seem to find a smaller magnet in stock so would the larger one do the job or would I have to worry about breaking the glass on the tank?

thanks for the help!

I would get the 6200.50.

The included bracket should work with the longer stainless steel screws.

Thanks Roger, thats what I thought.

The problem is the tank is so old that it has this crazy plastic molding around the tank and it doesn't allow the bracket to have a lot of surface area contact. At best I can get it to stay in place but once I put the stream on it starts to move around. I don't mind getting the magnet as it will allow my tank cover to sit flush once again.

Thanks for your help
