i was given an athelia from a friend and had it for about a week or so. tonight i notice that is was closing or just tightening up. looked like the arms just stood still an all the "air" was being sucked out and it just shrunk! not sure if this is normal. any ideas??

I haven't had those in years, but I do remember them closing once in a blue moon. Do you have anything that could have crawled over them, or was picking on them.

And to be safe, what are your current water parameters (( with numbers )).

One thing I remember about them is that mine grew like weeds.

parameters are all zero,and ph is at 8.0. dont have a test for cal or mag.and there is nothing in tank yet except coral.

So your calc is at 0? That's the problem!!

JK. Mine close like that almost every night. I wouldn't worry
