Anthias and the use of Hypo...Thoughts?

So after hearing my wife ask if there are any pink and red fish we could add to my current FOWLR. I am opting to add some anthias for some pop in my tank. I have kept anthias over the years, however I have not kept any since I started to keep a stringent QT regimen.

My QT generally starts with 8 weeks of hypo, metro and prazi. This has worked great for my current tank inhabitants. I then may do a round of Chloroquine Phosphate if I should see anything suspicious. I have read several threads reporting issues with hypo and it causing deaths in anthias. Needless to say I am hesitant to try it with any new anthias I may add.

So what are your thoughts and experiences with this issue. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I've had anthias deal extremely well with cupramine. Which species were you looking at?

I was either looking at Bimaculatus, Squarespot, or Lyretail anthias. I used to be a big proponent of Cupramine, but I have found that the last several times I used it I could never keep a consistent dosage in the tank. At that time , I was using PVC in the QT; so I know it was not being absorbed by the pieces I had in there.

Peter- what level are you keeping the cupramine at? Also, what tesy are you using?

Around 0.3. As you probably know, it's tough to tell the exact number in that range with the Salifert kit. Lots of eye squinting, and replying on the drops/gallon method to figure it our :)
