Anthias help - poop or intestines

Just noticed this on my Anthias. He is swimming around with it and seems ok. Is it poop ot his intestines?

Poop, but that looks white to me. May be signs of a parasite. Did you QT? Hopefully he's still in QT.

It was a light brown color. The phone may have made it look a little lighter. He was qt'd before he went into the tank back in Dec. I havn't noticed any other issues with him since. I did just recently add a few new fish (firefish and gobies) but they were qt'd as well.

It did fall off but it took a while. I thought it was pretty big for a poop. I have increased feedings as well, not sure if that has anything to do with it

I have seen this a couple of times recently with my fish as well. I have been trying to determine why and only thing I have noticed is that it seems to happen when I feed frozen mysis and plankton more frequently. Would be interested in knowing if you've been feeding either in larger quantity or recently before this? I will note that I am not concerned really since they seem fine other than a couple of times this happened but I am curious as to the source of what have caused this.

Im pretty sure I have read on here that it can be correlated with a heavy mysis diet.
