I have 3 anthias ,one male two females, one of the females has found a spot in my rock work and spends most of her time there.spawning?

Likely being bullied or isn't feeling well. How long have you had them? Is the one still eating?

had them for about 8 weeks,i have noticed that the male has some whitening on the body best seen under blue lighting,if the female is sick what should i look for?she does come out to eat

Agreed. How large of a tank are they in? If there is not enough room to get away in open water the less dominate usually retreats. If it is a problem of harassment durin g feeding the lesser could perish if not allowed out in the open. Would be helpful if we know what species. Most species will have a hierarchy but some are more biligerant than others

What kind of anthias?
I prefer having at least 3 females so the bullying from the male is more spread out.

Bartletts are probably some of the most difficult to be nice to each other in smaller tanks. My guess is the one will be pestered until it starves or is beat up. Wouldn't surprise me if the tides turned on the second in line. In my old 260 the Bartlett male always chased other anthias as well even if not Bartletts.
