anthias question

I have two 2-3" female squareback anthias in my tank. They have been in my tank for 8months or so. I want to add a male squareback. Most males i see are smaller than my females. Does the male have to be bigger or the same size than the female or size does not matter?

The males are always bigger than the female most males are 3plus inches where as the females 2 or so, should not matter when you add the male

I wouldn't do it. Generally, speaking, adding a new male to established females doesn't work. Usually the dominant female has already established herself as the one that will be the male. She won't like a new male showing up. Maybe it's still possible in your case, since you females are still pretty small, but I still wouldn't risk it, IMO.
