Anthias

I have a female Dispar Anthias and I have recently noticed it has become very lathargic. It was laying on the sand this morning, and I have noticed it resting on the back glass in the shade over the last week. It used to be a very active swimmer. I was wondering if anyone has any insight on what may be happenning to it. It is in a 90 gallon but is the only Anthias. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Did you see her eat? Anthias like to be in groups, my Dispar is with carberrys and Bartletts anthias and they school together. My Bartletts taught my dispar to eat pellet and flake food.

She has been eating but as much as normal. I've had her for about 3 months and this behavior just started.

4 me I have found that is usually a sign of warm water. I can usually tell my temp is high when my fish are lathargic like that, just my 2cents.

You might try enriching it's diet with selcon and vitamins
You might try adding an extra feeding or more everyday
Dispars like company - another dispar might perk it up
Examine the fish carefully - are there any slight changes? Patchy coloration or color fading, thinning anywhere, etc.?
You might see that you have pleny of circulation and O2 in the water

If I were to bet money on it, I'd say she has either a nutritional problem or a parasite.
