How soon after "death" or decalcification might I see daughters sprouting from my ST plate coral?
Is plate coral reproduction inevitable in a tank that is doing exceedingly well as far as coral growth is concerned? As far as I can tell in this particular tank, all corals are doing very well (ie. my Duncans have grown from 3 heads to nearly 14 heads in the last 45 days, my acans have grown from 3 polyps to 8 in about the same amount of time) except for this plate which has lost flesh over the last 3 weeks. Not sure why really but after reading a bit online about fungia, I figured it was reproduction. I can't think of anything else it could be. Any thoughts?
