How soon after "death" or decalcification might I see daughters sprouting from my ST plate coral?

Is plate coral reproduction inevitable in a tank that is doing exceedingly well as far as coral growth is concerned? As far as I can tell in this particular tank, all corals are doing very well (ie. my Duncans have grown from 3 heads to nearly 14 heads in the last 45 days, my acans have grown from 3 polyps to 8 in about the same amount of time) except for this plate which has lost flesh over the last 3 weeks. Not sure why really but after reading a bit online about fungia, I figured it was reproduction. I can't think of anything else it could be. Any thoughts?

I have read about 6 months .I am at the two month mark with a large fungia that took 2 weeks to receed completely.

Are there any signs whatsoever that reproduction is occuring(ie. dark spots or small tentacles or does she just look dead with algae growth on the skeleton?

Also, is your plate completely devoid of flesh or just a section?

BTW, what type of lighting do you have and what was your feeding regimen?

C.Rob...Anyone? Just wondering what I should expect? Fungia is completely devoid of flesh now. It's whiter than my teeth. :-)
