Antias Trio Question

Hello everyone!

I have been working like a dog recently and have been getting my tank back in order for the Winter as well as moving some of my more precocious fish on to other reefers. This means I have a bit of room and I may be interested in filling a little of it up! My stock list is in my signature.

As the title suggests I am interested in a trio of Anthias (really psuedoanthia) specifically the "Lori's Anthias" (Pseudanthias lori). I have a 70 and I know that a harems suggested minimum is a 125, but would I be capable of keeping a trio comfortably?

I am open to suggestions as well and am not in a particular rush! Thanks in advance!

Well, lots of choices amongst the anthias family to choose from; some easy, others hard, still others in the middle (like Lori). 70 gallon would exclude some of the larger species, particularly in groups, so resplendent/randalls, carberyi, dispar would be candidates. Lori are a little trickier, but would be candidates as well.

Thanks!

I knew they were along the middle of the road and they are an early thought. I wouldn't mind most of those other species as well. The real question was to make sure a trio would be ok in a 70. I know that isn't really a full harem, but I am sure a trio is better than a lonely anthias.
