Any acrylic gurus in here?

I'm starting to think of an upgrade from the 12g nano, and someone suggested making a 24x24x24 cube tank. I like the idea, but I've never worked with acrylic and I don't know if it's a good idea to do something like this on the first try. Is anyone here really good with acrylic and willing to give some tips or other help? I see several build threads, but there are so many ways to do it that I'm not sure what's good, bad, and if I'm even skilled enough to do them. I'm not sure if I'm going to try yet, it really depends on how much the stuff would cost and how feasible it really is.

I have built a few things and it's not hard to do you just have to be precise. Especially if you are using the number 3 weldon. Your edges must be smooth and more importantly square to make sure everything comes out correctly.
