Any advice welcome about sump and overflow

So I recently got a 29g from a buddy (he had freshwater in it) and I'm converting it to SW. My plan is to make it a FOWLR tank, and I like the idea of having an overflow with a sump/refugium.

I have no way of knowing whether or not it is possible to drill the tank, so I'm assuming I'm going the way of acrylic. My question is this: does any know where I can buy acrylic in DM? Or somebody who can help me build this kind of stuff? I'm sure I'd like to try, but I'd be more than happy to have someone who knows what they're doing. And there will be a level of compensation involved, I have no problems with that as well. Having to buy the sand, live rock, skimmer, and pumps, I might as well use what money I'll have left for a good cause (supporting RC people).

Thanks!

Most of the big box hardware stores sell some thinner acrylic.
I know Two Rivers Glass can get acrylic but not sure of sizes and costs.

I have access to a table saw with a large assortment of blades including a fine toothed blade labeled specifically for acrylic.
Besides that, I have no experience assembling acrylic...but how tough could it be? Hehe.

I think lee has an external overflow for sale that would work great for you. Working with acrylic isn't really as easy as you might think. I would think you would probably save money by buying Lees overflow and finding another tank to use as a sump. As far as baffles for the sump, i would go to Regal Plastic and check out their scrap bin. You usually can get "the perfect piece" for dirt cheap.

Good luck!

So are you saying you don't have a reef setup right now? Then what are you going to do with those frags you stole from me last night? ;0) Do you have a code I can break??
