Any brains out there?

Thinking of getting some more brain corals and I would like to see some picks and info regarding their care.

Lets see some pics and care info. Things like what do you feed it? How often? Lighting?

I was there on Sunday afternoon just before closing and I didn't see a gorgeous rainbow welso. So either it sold, or I missed it.

Dave, two brains, a trach and a welso. 2 14k 175w MH, 4 actinic VHO. Rod's food. Spot feed everyday. Once a month they get a Rod's food fish egg treat.

As far as lighting is concerned, Different brains require different light.

the ULTRA rainbow deepwater type trachs/wellsos, in my experience, need very low light to maintain colors.

I subjected one of my rainbow brains to a radium 20k (12 inches deep water) and it turned green and brown.

I have an open green brain from blue zoo and really don't do anything special. sits on sandbed. don't really target feed. appears happy. will have to get a pic

4"x4" basically...unless they are all fluffy after eating...the welso can get to 5".

and once i move the welso to the 120g....it can fluff upwards as well...it wants to, but once it gets to about 3" it hits rock. gonna get a nice big space in the 120g.

I also saw the rainbow at the reef shoppe. I think it is actually still there. It was in the room to your right when you walk in. Upper right tank. VERY cool!
