Hey guys, I want to do something different on my 60g sps tank i'm about to start. Normally i would do dry rock or live rock and let the future take hold, but I want to find out more information about this Cerameco / ceramic rock. I've heard more negative than positive, but it really wouldn't matter if we saw or heard from people they have successfully sps tanks with this type of rock in it.

Anyone?

Hi Brad65ford,

I use ceramic on 95% of my rockwork. Mine come from a french company called Aquaroch - but i think its similar to yours.

Im very happy about my depration - its much more easy to make a "dramatic" and natural look in yr tank, than with lr

Here in Denmark some people talk about old ceramic, and they say it gave them Po4 - at least its not the case anymore

Hope I helped u anyway

Regards
Peder

I have a custom 2 peice build from cerameco in my 90 gallon. The rocks look amazing, way better than anything I could do with live rock. I have not put water in the tank yet due to some living situation issues but will report back Once I finally fill the tank up.

I'm receiving my Vida Rock order tomorrow and will be scaping on Friday. As soon as I'm done I will post pics. They won't be time tested of course, but I will update as time goes by. My tank is modeled after Denadai's if you all remember his, (No sand, no live rock). Super clean look.

I'm about 2 months into my 24x24x12 barebottom build using 100% cerameco (plus some LR in the sump to seed). Parameters good so far, best aquascaping I've ever been able to accomplish. Limited bioload at this point of course, but what is in there seems happy.

Only "different" issue I've seen vs. traditional rock is that I'm still experiencing a slight cloudiness in my water. Don't know if it's a bloom or what, but I'm practicing patience and hope it resolves itself (and it seems to be making slow but sure progress towards that on a daily basis).

Time will tell I suppose, but I am enjoying the pest free start to the tank.

Thanks guys it would be great to see more and hear more about the success and or issues that can happen if any with ceramic rock. I almost purchased a bunch of Dry rock last night, gonna hold out and find more information.
