Hi, I'm setting up a 90 gallon tank, and I purchased a coralife 48" with two 65 watt actinic florescent lamps and two 65 watt daylight lights. My original thoughts were to make it a FOWLR tank, but the salesman told me that I would be able to have some simple corals. What corals would be ok under these lights? Thanks

I have the exact same tank/lights and have had lots of success with many different corals. Here is a list of what's currently in my tank(and growing):

Bubble coral
hammer
frogspawn
pulsing xenia
zooanthids
Green Sinularia
Wellsyphilia(sp?)
Devils hand
Caulaustria
favia
Cauliflower coral(sinularia species?)
encrusting gorgonian
Mushroom anem.
Large bubble tip anemonie

hope that helps

Thanks for all the help! Are there any types of sps that would be ok in low-light?
Buckeye1- how long have you had the bubble tip anemonie for?

I've had the bubble tip anem for about 3 years now. He's doing fantastic. Split once. I feed him some shrimp or krill about once a week.

All of those on that list were either LPS or softies. I am also going to try a montipora as others have suggested.

Make sure you are dosing calcium at the very least. I use Kent CB, which is a two part calcium/buffer.
