You dont have to use the Sicce pumps to get performance like that, FWIW. There are plenty of other, suitable candidates. As for the skimmer, orca systems made a version where one pump recirculates as well... its in the gallery of their website... www.protein-skimmer.com
I made one ATI 'clone' so far from 12" diameter acrylic, but I have yet to hook up the Laguna threadewheel pump to it to test it out... Ive just been busy.

Well, I got my PSK 2500 pumps today. Luckily I got 2 of them, or rather unluckily, because they were packed with the pumps touching each other. Upon opening, one of them had the volute/impeller well disconnected and the ceramic shaft was broken.
Other than that, I am having a hard time figuring out how to open the volute on them... the covers are on pretty tight...

sorry, I can't help you. I did'nt even know what a PSK 2500 was till Now. I just looked it up and found that it's the Sicce pump. I thought they were unavailable. Now that there out all we need is the actual skimmer clone. Hahnmeister, did you make a build thread on your clone yet or are you waiting for results?
