Try a temp agency like Olson Staffing. I got a couple of decent summer jobs through them - one job was answering calls for the toll-free directory - it paid $9.45/hour, back in 1998 or so.

Around where are you looking? (North, South, etc...)
I know you say up for about anything. More specific?
When you say part time, that could be up to 32 hours, are you looking for that much.
Post or PM me as many details as you can and I'll see what I can do to help. I look at every ad in EVERY recruitment source in the area for my job so I have a good idea of what's out there.

I agree with Ocicat that a staffing agency might not be a bad route depending on certain things but certain agencies are geared to certain industries.

You could try going to any local school districts and getting put on their sub list. It wouldn't be steady work but I know our subs (East St. Louis) get $17 an hr for a 5 hr day. 4 classes to bs with the kids and 1 hr free period. Some schools have their prefered subs that they use all the time though.

Not sure if its still paying the same but i mae up to 30 an hour selling jewelry at sears during christmas time a few years aqo it was like 3 something an hour plus commision i never made less than 11 an hour but it was usually alot high but ou need to quit asap after the holidays because they take back your commision on returns

Thanks for all the replies! I'm already registered with a couple of temp agencies but there aren't many temp IT jobs available with the holidays looming. I was slated to do a tech refresh/data migration out at the airport for 3 weeks but it got canned until next Jan....I'm in a sweet position on base right now with a VERY flexible evening shift pretty much 4 days a week so I've got days available until 5...

depending on what kind of work your used to my brother in law pays about 10 bucks an hour installing wireless internet around here in metro east on water towers and phone towers they wire up access points with 15 mile range and do hook ups for residential and business, and they also do dish network installs on the side. There are a new company but getting big clients and alot of customers quick. You can go to website wisperisp.com and email your resume.

Thanks again the the ideas! Lon- the only way there's real money to be made there is with large stuff- I'm talking things that sell for $800 plus. Between the lack of a business license to get materials cheaper and the time it takes to build them properly, smaller stuff just isn't cost effective I'd love to build someone a big skimmer at this point though. I'm wanting to try out a Quiet -one meshwheel design and see if it's capbable of what I think it is!

You dont need a business license just spend 100 bucks and incorporate your self as a llc ... thats what i did for my properties investment company and i have no problems getting business to business discounts.
