Any hope for this Scoly?

Got it from a friend that got it from a friend when it was dying. My friend was able to keep it happy and help it regenerate some tissue until he did an algae treatment in his tank.

Took it home today and did a 15 minutes iodine dip.
Thoughts?

Feed it if at all possible. Other than that good water conditions, good placement, and wait to see.

i´m sure it can make it. Mine looked way worse and made it back to life

What foods would you recommend?

I would target feed something like Reed Chili or Coral Frenzy. Maybe some Oyster Feast. I had an acan that was in pretty bad shape and the target feeding really helped bring it back.

Would you recommend an iodine dip every few days?

Absolutely not, it can be harsh on corals. Its good for an initial dip, but not continuously as a prophylactic. Concentrate on getting it food. Try at night too, it may have some feeder tentacles extended then and grab the food easier.

Yeah, dipping it is only going to stress it out and cause you to loose it. Your acans and lobo look nice and plump so it appears that you have enough nutrients in the system. For the first little bit, it is only going to eat off of the water column. If you have any mysis, I would dump the oils from the cup near the scoly, assuming you thaw the shrimp in a cup. After you see the mouth get back to normal, you can target feed it with mysis. However, target feeding mysis now isn't going to do any good.
