any idea what this black stuff is?

This some kind of poop? I only have 2 fish i know its not from them. Is it from snails? This is the first time im seeing it. It is around all over. the tank is only cycled 2 weeks. 20 gallon.

i know its hard to tell from picture.. but no ideas? it looks like some carbon dropped in the tank. but i havent used any

i agree with dhayden, do you use carbon filters? the little peices of charcoal get everywhere

LOL, I have wondered about the pencil eraser lookin thing too. but I have seen it pop up once in a while. I think it is just a funky peice of rock. Snails are Nars., Cerinth, 1 Mexican, and 2 turbos.

I'm guessing that the black stuff is just some crap shedding from the rock.

it looks like alot of whaever it is under the rock.Can you just pick it up if so I wold not worry it is probaly just some stray things in the crushed coral.I thought at first looking under the rock the maybe you were going to have a red slime outbreak that is why I ask if you can just pick it up.
