It's a toadstool, wouldn't necessarily consider it a pest and the green ones are pretty cool imo.

Dont yank, they can get huge, although they usually stay brown, can still be very beautiful!

My buddy has one that is huge and his clownfish are hosting in it. I would keep it.

It's really small right now, haven't seen much growth since discovering it. It was in a holding tank at the LFS for a long time with little to no light so I'm sure it was a little jacked up... However, it is starting to really green up which is kind of cool. I'll see where it goes and as long as it doesn't become a nuisance it might be a nice addition.
