What are these white dots on my palys?

They seem healthy and happy but the spots werent there a few days ago. I am talking about the fake RPE in the pictures, they have white dots all on them.

Is it sand? Have you tryed blowing it off? Kinda looks like bleaching spots. How close to the lights are they?

AT first I thought bleaching spots. What kind of lights aswell?

They are under a 150w Giessemann megachrome blue HQI Its about 8 inches off the surface and they are about six inches under the water. They have been there for a long time.

I over dripped my kalk a bit and im wondering if its not calcium deposits? I stopped my kalk drip this morning when i posted and i think the spots are already lighter and appear to be going away.

The palys are the PE type and are healthy open and spreading like wild fire, ive never seen anytthing like it before.

Some RPE's have white speckling like that... They're perfectly healthy...

Is it possible that any salt granules landed on them before they disolved? That might leave bleach spots like that!

Well i was looking in the tank today and thought id update this thread.

The white spots are still there and even the baby polyps are comming out with the spots now. Obviously everything is OK if they are sprouting babies. All my other palys/zoos are normal, none are displaying any spotting like this. After a few days of no kalk drip and no improvement i said what the hay and started the drip back up and never looked back. I really dont like the look of them now....

I really just find this weird because i have had these palys for a good ammount of time, well over six months and under the same conditions the whole time i have owned them. I dont see why or how they developed these spots but i figure i would share.

Im not going to say salt creep did not fall into the tank when i was not looking but that does not explain the baby polyps comming out with spots. I grew them from a few polyps, they never looked like this before.
