I found this thing yesterday. Really weird. I hope pics are good enough.
He shoots up to top of sand, spits stuff out and is gone in less than a sec!

Then...
is this a zoa (the one on left)? If so, what kind?

Hmmm..in the pic it looks alot like the ones on right, but they are different. lol

THANKS!! :bounce3:

LOL...yea, the look like identical twins in pic, but they are not :lmao:
Oh well, didn't realize how close they were till I posted it. The one on left is a deeper purple color with a green center. The ones on right are dragon eyes or something like that.

The worm...are there different kinds of peanuts??
I do hav a peanut, and it doesn't look like this one. The peanut I have is like a brownish and cream stripes and does that weird extension thing with his body, and of course the "feather duster" like mouth.
The one in the pic reminds me more of a bristleworm, but def is not.

Are you sure? From the pics it looks like just about every large bristleworm i've seen. I've got tons of those guys in my parents nanocube (formerly mine). Look JUST LIKE THAT.

EDIT:

Did a google images search just to make sure i'm not crazy... and images looking just like that came up?

Yea, def sure! I have a ton too. Here is one of my big boys! My starry blenny recently attacked it and looked like a poor little puppy that had a brawl with a porcupine!! lol

Def NOT a bristle worm. Your thingy has no hairy bristles but has tons of little legs like a centipede. That is wierd but cool at the same time. I wonder how many of us have them but do not get lucky enough to have them at the front of the sandbed like this. From the sounds of it, if it wasn't for being against the glass you would have never even known that it existed.
