I'm just after some advise

I'm setting up a new tank and want to add some tangs but i keep hearing to add them all together i don't want to crash the tank in its early stages, so should i just add 1 or 2 other fish and wait a while and add all the tangs to together or should i add one at a time, how long should i wait before adding the tangs

i was thinking at the start i wanted 3 tangs a yellow purple and blue tang but after researching i know its a bad idea, i know its better to add another tang to share the aggression what would be a better choice another yellow or purple, i rely wanted a black tang but here in Melbourne i cant seam to find one

We need more info:

Tank size/dimensions
How old is it?
What's the filtration like?

If your tank is big enough, I would definitely wait to add them all together, I have a Purple, Yellow and Achilles, which I added all at once.

One of them will still be dominant but adding them together greatly increase the success of keeping them all alive.

it's a new tank I'm still waiting for it to arrive its a elos 160xl so I'm just trying to see how long is best for tank to be ready for tangs e.g. 3 6 12 moths

just getting excited and trying to research as much as i can

Looks like that tank is ~ 200 gallons right?

I'd go ahead and THOROUGHLY cycle the tank and then go even further to feeding what you normally would if there were fish to build up that extra biological filtration.

Once your tank stabilizes with the ghost feedings, go ahead and put all your tangs in the tank at the same time. Good luck!
