Last I heard Lawrence gets old vinegar drums, but I heard that second hand. Last I spoke to him 2 barrels were the most we could pick up with our Expedition. If I could get more then it would be worth the trip. Either way they are alot cheaper than any online place to order them.

He didn't list the actual dimensions until this last Emailing. I guess he had too many people asking him that question :)

The guy, Lawrence, who's selling these drums is in the business of producing sauces. Vinegar is one of the main ingredients in many of his sauces, so he's left with LOTs of barrels. $5 is really cheap as I've seen them for as high as $65 each online. These are fresh barrels with the vinegar just recently poured out of them. So, all you need to do is rinse them out with freshwater when you get them home. Reefers use white vinegar to soak saltwater equipment anyways, so deinitely the barrels are in a good cleaning agent already. Give Lawrence a call before you stop by to pickup your barrel as he runs out quickly. If you have clean recyled shipping peanuts, he would love to take them off your hands if there's no cost. He needs shipping peanuts to ship out his sauces and appreciates the gesture when people bring their recyled shipping peanuts along when they pickup their drums.

Forgot to mention that some of his barrels housed oil. These are usually the blue color drums. The white/clear drums housed white vinegar so very easy to just rinse. The blue drums take a little bit more cleaning before you can use them. YES, LAWRENCE LOVE TO GET "CLEAN" RECYCLED SHIPPING PEANUTS FROM ANYONE WHO'S WILLING TO GIVE IT TO HIM. Those darn peanuts take up so much room in our trash cans.

I'm going to garner a guess as he makes sauces for Kikkoman and Trader Joe brand name - I could be wrong though
